Venue
The congress takes place at the newly constructed Maersk Tower at the Panum Institute, home of the medical school of the University of Copenhagen, in the middle of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. The Panum Institute is located next to Rigshospitalet University Hospital and is easily accessible by bus or by foot from the center of Copenhagen and from major train stations.
Getting to Copenhagen
Copenhagen is a major airline hub in Scandinavia. There are direct flights from many parts of the world to Copenhagne airport Kastrup inclusive of many low fare airlines. Transportation from Kastrup Airport to the center of Copenhagen is simple and frequent by metro.
Accomodation
There are numerous hotels and youth hostels in Copenhagen. The ICCH17 has not made special arrangement with particular hotels, but a number of good hotels in various price groups will be displayed at the Accomodation page. In addition to hotels in Copenhagen, the Swedish city of Malmö, just across the strait of Oresund, also has a large number of hotels. Malmö may be reached by regular trains from train stations of Copenhagen and Kastrup Airport. Finally, many rooms, flats and houses are rented out in and around Copenhagen by Airbnb and similar services.
Getting around Copenhagen
Getting around Copenhagen is easy. Numerous buses, trains and a metro serve the Copenhagen area. Please see the Public Transportation website. In addition, the Journey planner website makes it easy to find the right connnection. Denmark is a country of bicycles and Copenhageners use these for very much for daily transportation. Bicycles for rent or loan are available from an increasing number of hotels and bicycle rental shops.
